Do you like helping others? Do you like sunny warm beaches? Well Bright Island Outreach is a great way to do both! We are a NGO based in The Dominican Republic and USA focused on under developed communities where they lack education, health and dental services.
Our goal is to make a positive impact on communities that lack of this services and while doing this we like to have fun! Our program offers a beach gazing experience with bonfires and local music on one of the hidden gems of the Island. You’ll have the chance to bond with the entourage around the community and explore the gifts of helping others.
We are looking for any kind of volunteers: Dental professionals, students, and non-dental volunteers to deliver treatment, education, and preventive care in remote settings to children and adults. So come on! Join us on this amazing experience that will help others smile with us.

Dental professionals, students, and non-dental volunteers deliver treatment, education, and preventive care in remote settings to children and adults with limited access to services.
Students treat patients under the direct supervision of dentists and hygienists, who are asked to participate primarily as clinical mentors and educators.
Each of our expeditions is accomplished with the permission and assistance of the department of public health. With a vision to transform lives and communities, B.I.O. provides opportunities for volunteerism, breaking down barriers to inter-professional collaboration among communities of healthcare professionals in the countries we serve
No dental experience is required to participate. #workhard
Our site is only a 30 minute trek (hike, then bike) from the Tree House. We will depart every morning at 8:30am. After a quick tour of the facility, we should start seeing patients around 9am. Lunch will be served on site and ready by 1pm. Expect to work until 6 or 7pm on each clinic day.
ON OUR WAY TO JUAN DOLIO WILL GO to the Colonial Zone in Santo Domingo. Once there, we can shop for souvenirs and visit historical sites along Calle El Conde, Santo Domingo’s first commercial street.

Se parte del grupo de voluntarios que nos ayudaran con trabajos dentales profundos y las demás actividades para más de 350 pacientes necesitados. Como doctor, trabajarás con..+ estudiantes que .. o como voluntario que puedes hacer todo esto (especificar a lo que vienen). #workhard
We will ride Zip line in the morning, ride beach cruisers to Playa El Valle, and eat lunch at the beach. Feel free to also explore the cascade, rope swings, swimming pool, bonfire or yoga dome as well. Each cabin will have a private bathroom, bed, light bulb, mosquito net and storage locker. Feel free to tip the baggage and bartenders. There is no WiFi or cell service at the tree house Village. We will arrange for it to be available during the week a short distance away.

Emotions by Hodelpa is and hour from the last stop. We have a reservation at Oregano at 8pm. Emotions is all inclusive, breakfast is served from 7 – 10am, lunch is from 12 – 3pm, dinner starts from 6 – 9pm, and a 24/7 snack bar is located in the beach area. You can enjoy the pools, spa, sauna and gym (mention BIO at the spa for a discount on services).
